Have you ever wondered what your thoughts look like if they were mapped out in color? Aren’t you curious whether you think in color or in black in white? You’re in luck. I have the perfect tool to try out!
Think in Colour is a tool by Belgian news magazine Knack and design agency Mutant. The tool creates a digital sculpture based on your response to a list of thought provoking questions. It was made in conjunction with phycologists at the University of Brussels (VUB), the questionnaire is modeled after BFI-2 and FIT-60 tests and explores a person’s empathy, open mindedness, flexibility and intellectual curiosity. Then it provides a detailed summary of each trait at the end of the assessment. Even better at the end you can download a JPEG or GIF of your final sculpture to keep forever or share with your friends.
Knack’s editor in chief, Bert Bultinck, states the tool was made to present a “Literal challenge to our readers to question their own way of thinking.”
As stated on the website, “We live in a world where people seem to be thinking ever more in black and white. But doubt brings us further than absolute. Those who doubt leave room for fresh insights. Those who doubt don’t think in black and white, but in colour. Do you think in colour? Or rather in black and white?”
The test has 15 questions and will take around 5 minutes. After taking the quiz myself I think it’s quite accurate and I’m pleased with my results. You can see my results down below, and if you’re ready to try it out for yourself click here.
