We are all quite familiar with the celebration of Valentine’s Day, a day where romance and love is the focus of the day all around the world.
This holiday is also one where creating gifts from scratch goes a long way in expressing one’s feelings towards a loved one. It could be done through baked goods, crafted gifts, music, the list goes on. The limitations only go as far as the imagination of the person. The creativity and time that goes into creating these gifts means a lot more than the end result. It makes it more memorable for both parties and let’s them know they were being thought of the entire process.
One of the most common crafted gifts are Valentine’s Day cards, that involve asking someone to be their Valentine. These cards can be exchanged among family, friends, or anyone really. The first ones sent can be dated back to the 18th century, they were complex and extremely detailed. Over the years it has evolved from cards to larger acts of service with the message being the same. For example today, children in schools exchange cards with their classmates in small parties. Only five days are left until the holiday is upon us. If you haven’t yet begun creating something for your valentine, I recommend you get started.
Wishing everyone a very happy and lovely Valentine’s Day, no matter how you decide to celebrate it!
